After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Sigfrido Auletta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italy's supporters rose to their feet, but Sigfrido Auletta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Talha Mertkal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute Siricio Liotta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Talha Mertkal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ralph Hinder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. Hernán Felip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Flavio Vittori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralph Hinder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kolonia Radlin were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Italy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fryderyk Solak took the corner. After taking down the ball on Kolonia Radlin's corner Fryderyk Solak fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Flavio Vittori quite easily take care of the ball. After 40 played minutes Kolonia Radlin got a freekick which was hit by Başaran Şentürk. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ralph Hinder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Kolonia Radlin getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Başaran Şentürk hit a great ball. Tolek Brzeszczak hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Flavio Vittori stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ralph Hinder's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Zaccheo Andolina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Talha Mertkal made a huge save. Kolonia Radlin's Talha Mertkal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute Sigfrido Auletta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Talha Mertkal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Italy's Porziano Marchitelli got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kolonia Radlin made a substitution. Marek Bergkamp replaced Ralph Hinder. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. In the 89th minute Marek Bergkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Talha Mertkal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Curto in the 95th minute of play. Italy were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
