Λstral Villains FC's Theo Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 4th minute of play. Theo Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Eikelkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Emil Berntzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Λstral Villains FC's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Machado came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Theo Machado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Emil Berntzen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 26th minute of play forced Λstral Villains FC's goalkeeper Theo Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Berntzen got free with Arnout Reekers in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. After 30 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emil Berntzen who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Zbyszek Trzemzalski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arnout Reekers quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Theo Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Netherlands's Wim Wilmes in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Λstral Villains FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 35th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Gustaaf Groeneveldt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Λstral Villains FC's Theo Machado did a great save. When Peder Solevåg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. Peder Solevåg kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emil Berntzen to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anderson Zonta went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 56 minutes of play, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Theo Machado was left in no man's land by his defense there! 59 minutes into the game, Lars Meesters cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Theo Machado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 61st match minute, Λstral Villains FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Berntzen to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Gustaaf Groeneveldt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 63 played minutes Λstral Villains FC got a freekick which was hit by Zbyszek Trzemzalski. After 66 minutes of play, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Theo Machado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Λstral Villains FC's Lars Holand was substituted for Emil Berntzen. Theo Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Eikelkamp's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Theo Machado. Wim Wilmes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-6. Λstral Villains FC's Theo Machado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Λstral Villains FC from getting a goal against them. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Theo Machado came out and tried to block the shot, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer slotted it home off the left post making it 2-8 in the 84th minute. Theo Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 90th minute of the match. Λstral Villains FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gijsbert ter Kruimer 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-9. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Λstral Villains FC throughout the match.
