Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tommy Sundberg to make the kick off. In the 66th match minute, Pihl United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luc Fontaine to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Pihl United's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Gottfrid Haström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gottfrid Haström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gottfrid Haström could save by the left post. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pihl United's goalkeeper Gottfrid Haström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gottfrid Haström having to interfere. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babhruvahana Baad in the 93rd minute of play.
