In the 7th minute, Denis Dostal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kerkyon Ladas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 9th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Jilek to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th play minute Themis Sakelaris came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vavrinec Holub. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Rezek in the 14th minute of play forced Nea Salamis's goalkeeper Kerkyon Ladas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Czech Republic were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Nea Salamis's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erik Jilek took the corner. Czech Republic's Erik Jilek was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kerkyon Ladas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 16th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Dostal to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Sakis Blades from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Vavrinec Holub's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nea Salamis's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erik Jilek was slow to take the kick. During this time Czech Republic's players had a chance to rest. Erik Jilek made a great header on Czech Republic's corner, it was just that Nea Salamis's Kerkyon Ladas managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the Nea Salamis defense, Erik Jilek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kerkyon Ladas. In the 38th minute, Sakis Blades hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alan Rezek might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kerkyon Ladas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alan Rezek ran back to his position shaking his head. Kerkyon Ladas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Jilek in the 45th minute of the match. Kerkyon Ladas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Jilek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ptolemeus Tsarouhtsis made a kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Svatopluk Capek in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Nea Salamis's Patroklos Diasakos. In the 56th minute, Denis Dostal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kerkyon Ladas. The goal made the score 1-4. After some careless play in the Nea Salamis defense, Alan Rezek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kerkyon Ladas. The Nea Salamis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kerkyon Ladas should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute Czech Republic were awarded a corner. Erik Jilek went to the cornerflag to take it. Makhaon Polites received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Vavrinec Holub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nea Salamis's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Denis Dostal scored to the left of an out of position Kerkyon Ladas, making the score, 1-6. Alan Rezek took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kerkyon Ladas. Kerkyon Ladas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. Denis Dostal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alan Rezek struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Kerkyon Ladas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Czech Republic. With a little luck, Nea Salamis's Kerkyon Ladas got control of the ball when Alan Rezek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nea Salamis's Patroklos Diasakos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Svatopluk Capek in the 94 minute of the game.
