The referee ignored Clube Atlético Luziense's protests and gave Flavinho Luz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Flavinho Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st match minute, Salud y República was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perico Segarra to maneuver through the defense. Mino Cazorla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geraldo de Sena's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. When Flavinho Luz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 37 minutes had been played. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luciano Rodrigues made a kick off. Clube Atlético Luziense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salud y República the free kick. After a rather tough play, Salud y República's Rodrigo Dominguez got a free kick in the 85th minute. A collision led to Salud y República getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Higinio Prieto hit a great ball. Geraldo de Sena might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mino Cazorla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geraldo de Sena ran back to his position shaking his head. Salud y República were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
