An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Cresconio in the 41st minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Dráuzio Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Artemio Jaunti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes, Anselmo Sarracino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Atlanta and the Bandelocos players grew even worse after the yellow card.
