The referee ignored Zorros del Desierto's protests and gave Camilo Pino a yellow card for diving instead. Teobaldo Milian kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Bonifacio Cresconio made the kick off in the second half. Ursino Cabero was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, one of Zorros del Desierto:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zorros del Desierto. 67 minutes into the match, Anselmo Sarracino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abelardo Escerza. Zorros del Desierto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Sarracino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 76 minutes, Luchito Fuentes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zorros del Desierto and the Club Atlético Atlanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luchito Fuentes hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Zorros del Desierto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luchito Fuentes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darien Mantilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
