The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vágner Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo de Sena in the 2nd minute of the match. In the 5th minute Geraldo de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vágner Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vágner Faria was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Geraldo de Sena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Geraldo de Sena really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Vágner Faria made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Luciano Rodrigues sent off a good shot on target. Luciano Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Faria having to interfere. Luciano Rodrigues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Vágner Faria made a huge save. Vágner Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo de Sena in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Rodrigues got free with Vágner Faria in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Luciano Rodrigues put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vágner Faria. Jairo Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo Valle in the 21st minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Clube Atlético Luziense's Geraldo de Sena ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vágner Faria. Vágner Faria yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. 30 minutes into the match, Zé Paulo Valle notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Clube Atlético Luziense's Jairo Fonseca. Jairo Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 35 minutes, Zé Paulo Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jacuitiba - FSCMZ and the Clube Atlético Luziense players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Zé Paulo Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luciano Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Vágner Faria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Atlético Luziense. Luciano Rodrigues had several of the Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-1 score and a disappointed Vágner Faria as he didn't even see the shot coming. Vágner Faria was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Geraldo de Sena showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-1 in the 44 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-1 at half-time.

Vágner Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luciano Rodrigues took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vágner Faria. Vágner Faria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. In the 60th minute Geraldo de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vágner Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Elano Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Atlético Luziense the free kick. The supporters of Clube Atlético Luziense booed when Jacuitiba - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vágner Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luciano Rodrigues in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vágner Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Délio Loyola hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Vágner Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute Geraldo de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vágner Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Clube Atlético Luziense's Geraldo de Sena in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goalie prevented a goal. If Geraldo de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Jacuitiba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Zé Paulo Valle hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Geraldo de Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético Luziense's supporters rose to their feet, but Geraldo de Sena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vágner Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clube Atlético Luziense walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
