Luciano Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Edvaldo Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Clube Atlético Luziense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute, Maicon de Amorim made a precise shot to the right of Jairo Fonseca. Clube Atlético Luziense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Geraldo de Sena came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Clube Atlético Luziense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geraldo de Sena couldn't finish the play. Jairo Fonseca came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Jovens Democratas MZC's Maicon de Amorim. But to his dismay, Maicon de Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 36 played minutes Clube Atlético Luziense got a freekick which was hit by Celso de Amaral. Clube Atlético Luziense's Jairo Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Chaves in the 40th minute of play. Zé Augusto Tinoco hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After 46 minutes, Júlio Guerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maicon de Amorim was the one to do the kick off. Jovens Democratas MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Atlético Luziense the free kick. Sérgio Chaves kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Maicon de Amorim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jovens Democratas MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Jovens Democratas MZC's Allan Baiano was substituted for Júlio Guerra. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Branco got free with Jairo Fonseca in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute Claudinei Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Jovens Democratas MZC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Clube Atlético Luziense throughout the match.
