Nicky Williamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 4th match minute, ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witold Gotfryd in the 7th minute of play. When Ernesto Ramalho fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s protests and gave Ernesto Ramalho a yellow card for diving instead. Ernesto Ramalho hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. During the 10th minute of the match Ernesto Ramalho completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ernesto Ramalho a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Nicky Williamson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chris Nygaard went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Chris Nygaard came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Nygaard couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicky Williamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s Lauro de Medeiros got a free kick in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 23rd minute of play forced ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s goalkeeper Nicky Williamson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bertram Svenningsen kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Tião Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keld Paulsen stood somewhat misplaced when Witold Gotfryd came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 30 minute. When Dedé de Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedé de Toledo couldn't finish the play. In the 37th match minute, ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Witold Gotfryd to maneuver through the defense. Dedé de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chris Nygaard to make the kick off. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great ball. Bertram Svenningsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Nicky Williamson made a huge save. ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s Nicky Williamson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣ from getting a goal against them. When Mikkel Wulff fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Mikkel Wulff a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣ booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikkel Wulff didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 67 minutes, Dedé de Toledo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣ and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th match minute, ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedé de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Witold Gotfryd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Keld Paulsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s Witold Gotfryd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Keld Paulsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A collision led to ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣ getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Lauro de Medeiros hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Tião Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 96 minutes, Witold Gotfryd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Witold Gotfryd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Denmark for a fine match.
