When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Dé 孙策 took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it. Adilson Quintal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matias Jesco got free with Tommy Kahn in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Dario Cvitanich sent off a good shot on target. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Club Estudiantes de Mza's Justino Amaya in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. When Albin Holweck fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Albin Holweck a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Club Estudiantes de Mza's Dario Cvitanich fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dario Cvitanich in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tommy Kahn, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 35th minute of play forced Club Estudiantes de Mza's goalkeeper Victorino Timo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Sachs in the 36th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Ulrich Stein to score against Victorino Timo in Club Estudiantes de Mza's goal. 1-1 after 37 minutes. 40 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Dé 孙策 came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adilson Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A well-hit corner resulted in Nestor Salgado heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dario Cvitanich to make the kick off. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Cvitanich in the 55th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sachs. Dario Cvitanich blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dé 孙策, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 66 minutes of play, Club Estudiantes de Mza's Dario Cvitanich made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Estudiantes de Mza's Dario Cvitanich. But to his dismay, Dario Cvitanich quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 75th minute, Rogério Otamendi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justino Amaya took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. 82 minutes into the game, Dario Cvitanich cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Club Estudiantes de Mza booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulrich Stein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven Krakouer hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Sebastian Farias was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 93rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Matias Jesco struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Estudiantes de Mza. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Estudiantes de Mza fully deserved thier win.
