Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dario Cvitanich kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adilson Quintal. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Amaya in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 7th minute of play forced Club Estudiantes de Mza's goalkeeper Victorino Timo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Estudiantes de Mza's Victorino Timo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathijn Doctor in the 10th minute of play. Victorino Timo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Club Estudiantes de Mza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Jesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26thth minute of the game Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Estudiantes de Mza's Victorino Timo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victorino Timo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 29th minute of the match. Adilson Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. In the 37th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Wim Wilmes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Victorino Timo quite easily take care of the ball. Victorino Timo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 41st minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Victorino Timo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Club Estudiantes de Mza getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Rogério Otamendi hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Victorino Timo made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. After 55 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Wim Wilmes. 58 minutes into the match, Club Estudiantes de Mza's goalkeeper Victorino Timo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Victorino Timo firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 62nd minute, Dario Cvitanich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorino Timo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gust Ennemans got a free kick in the 69th minute. The supporters of Club Estudiantes de Mza booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egbert Nijveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, one of Club Estudiantes de Mza:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Estudiantes de Mza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 80th minute of play forced Club Estudiantes de Mza's goalkeeper Victorino Timo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Amaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Club Estudiantes de Mza's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Victorino Timo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 minutes Club Estudiantes de Mza's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gustaaf Groeneveldt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Victorino Timo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 87th minute Dario Cvitanich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victorino Timo having to make a save. In the 97th minute Dario Cvitanich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
