An unexpectedly hard shot by Ger Berdennikov in the 28th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bo Kruuse was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Bo Kruuse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Christer Fernström was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Frank Sachs capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Frank Sachs really showed his touch with that goal: 5-1. Roger Västerstrand scored 6-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute Bo Kruuse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Rickard Lundgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kingpins fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bo Kruuse's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Kingpins fully deserved thier win.
