The supporters of Kingpins booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Katona Janos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Antal Valentin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Kingpins defense, Takacs Tibor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christer Fernström. The Kingpins fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christer Fernström should have stopped the shot. 36 minutes into the game, Ger Berdennikov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Fodor Daniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice moves Rickard Lundgren could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Fodor Daniel however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Kingpins's Armin Trabucco got a free kick in the 40th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 70th minute of the match, Antal Valentin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Christer Fernström was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bo Kruuse in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. Kingpins's Christer Fernström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Kingpins from getting a goal against them. After 87 minutes, Tercero Noya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kingpins and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 played minutes Kingpins got a freekick which was hit by Tercero Noya. 88 minutes into the match, Kingpins's goalkeeper Christer Fernström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. The audience was convinced that Bo Kruuse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. In the 93rd match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balazs Lajos to maneuver through the defense. Hungary played a much better game than Kingpins and deserved their victory. The Kingpins players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
