Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got the match started through his kick off. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, András Újváry took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Arnout Reekers to make any attempt to save it. In the 9th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. György Tóth was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zalasárszeg OSE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Zalasárszeg OSE's goalie and right to Wim Wilmes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Zalasárszeg OSE's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. György Tóth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Lars Meesters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but György Tóth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Ákos Fülep hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 38 minutes in the game Márton Horváth did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Viktor Vass. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kálmán Gácsi in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. David Eikelkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. György Tóth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 minutes, Mathijn Doctor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the Zalasárszeg OSE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Mathijn Doctor. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by András Újváry in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Márió Kállai to make the kick off. Zalasárszeg OSE's Márió Kállai got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kálmán Gácsi in the 54th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kálmán Gácsi, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. György Tóth made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Zalasárszeg OSE's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. György Tóth came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Zalasárszeg OSE's Márió Kállai got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Zalasárszeg OSE's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. György Tóth came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 66 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. György Tóth was left in no man's land by his defense there! 70 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Márió Kállai came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gust Ennemans got a free kick in the 77th minute. Márió Kállai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Márió Kállai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zalasárszeg OSE's goalkeeper György Tóth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, Márió Kállai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but György Tóth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Kees Mooiweer charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kees Mooiweer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kees Mooiweer to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
