In the 3rd minute Helder Cadanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kevin Mier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Netherlands's Wim Wilmes, in the 10th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Helder Cadanes sent off a good shot on target. Kevin Mier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 21st minute of the match. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Mier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Helder Cadanes sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars Meesters in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Mier saved Sabaneta FC from getting behind. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Firman Urquizu sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Antonio Masciarelli tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Sabaneta FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 2-3.

Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Masciarelli in the 55th minute of play. Kevin Mier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 61st minute of play forced Sabaneta FC's goalkeeper Kevin Mier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Sabaneta FC's Kevin Mier got control of the ball when David Eikelkamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petri Romuroso in the 65th minute of the match. Sabaneta FC made a substitution. Fabrício Prestes replaced Firman Urquizu. In the 67th minute Sabaneta FC were awarded a corner. Osmundo Bolde went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Sabaneta FC's Fabrício Prestes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Kevin Mier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Lars Meesters made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Sabaneta FC's Kevin Mier managed to reach the ball for a save. Kevin Mier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute David Eikelkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Mier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sabaneta FC's Helder Cadanes in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabrício Prestes in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Sabaneta FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Fabian Lawrence hit a great ball. Gust Ennemans hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Sabaneta FC's Osmundo Bolde broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
