The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's William Zombori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 15th minute of play. William Zombori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 16th minute of the match. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Joachim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19thth minute of the game Jorge Joachim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Joachim in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Jorge Joachim reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilson Amorim. The goal made the score 2-0. 26 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Joachim. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's William Zombori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Zombori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 33rd minute of play forced ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalkeeper William Zombori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Miranda. After 37 minutes of play, Portugal's Felipe Barreto made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. William Zombori was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th match minute, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. Felipinho Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but William Zombori read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
