The corner ended in Eugeniusz Andryszyn almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Germany's Tommy Kahn did a great save. Malte Schiele hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When Eugeniusz Andryszyn came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Black Express fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugeniusz Andryszyn couldn't finish the play. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mieszko Olejniczak in the 41st minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Black Express got a freekick which was hit by Bogumil Klimkiewicz. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
