Mugurel Chiriloaie who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 2ndth minute tested the skills of Arnout Reekers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The corner ended in 武 太史慈 almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers did a great save. Gheorghiţă Hagi kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Tapa Athlétic™'s goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Heigo Mustkivi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tapa Athlétic™'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. After 15 minutes of play, Tapa Athlétic™'s Mugurel Chiriloaie made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the match, Tapa Athlétic™'s goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Heigo Mustkivi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heigo Mustkivi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th minute of play forced Tapa Athlétic™'s goalkeeper Heigo Mustkivi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Mugurel Chiriloaie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heigo Mustkivi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tapa Athlétic™'s Heigo Mustkivi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 34th minute of play. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 35th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mugurel Chiriloaie was the one to do the kick off. Wim Wilmes might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heigo Mustkivi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Tapa Athlétic™ defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Heigo Mustkivi. The Tapa Athlétic™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Heigo Mustkivi should have stopped the shot. Heigo Mustkivi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Hando Laaneoks hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Mugurel Chiriloaie scored 2-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Tapa Athlétic™'s Gheorghiţă Hagi got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tapa Athlétic™'s goalkeeper Heigo Mustkivi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Tapa Athlétic™'s goalkeeper Heigo Mustkivi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. In the 82nd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Eikelkamp to maneuver through the defense. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Chiriloaie in the 83rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 90th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Tapa Athlétic™'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Wim Wilmes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tapa Athlétic™'s Heigo Mustkivi did a great save.
