Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Serbia's Sreten Popovic started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sreten Popovic during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of ZG Hakleri booed when Serbia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ilko Toplek got free with Zvezdan Nedeljkovic in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the match, Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mihael Stojnić. In the 10th minute, ZG Hakleri's Arijan Paović ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. But to his dismay, Mihael Stojnić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jovan Borisov kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Ilko Toplek took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Serbia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jasmin Wolf in the 27th minute of play. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihael Stojnić, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Jasmin Wolf's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play.
