The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to a score. 0-1 in the 7th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Felipe Tajo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wim Wilmes scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felipe Tajo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Håkan Wennersten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Felipe Tajo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 21st minute of the match. Monky FC's Felipe Tajo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bas Tuitert in the 24th minute of play. Felipe Tajo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Håkan Wennersten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felipe Tajo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 37 minutes into the match, Monky FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Felipe Tajo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 39th minute of play forced Monky FC's goalkeeper Felipe Tajo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Kees Mooiweer. After 43 minutes, Denis Sein mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monky FC and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Monky FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Wim Wilmes scored to the left of an out of position Felipe Tajo, making the score, 0-4. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Monky FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Cristofor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Sein in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Felipe Tajo. Felipe Tajo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Sein in the 91st minute of play. After 97 minutes Monky FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Monky FC.
