Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Teun Ceustermans came out and tried to block the shot, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 57th minute. Eendracht Vooruit's Teun Ceustermans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Eendracht Vooruit from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teun Ceustermans. That made the score 0-12 in the 62 minute of play. Teun Ceustermans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Eendracht Vooruit throughout the match.
