Boroondara Milan's Martyon Diehl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 25th minute of play. Hungary's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Carlisle Fenwick scored to the left of an out of position Fodor Daniel, making the score, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlisle Fenwick in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. After 39 minutes, Antal Valentin made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Boroondara Milan's Martyon Diehl tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlisle Fenwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 46th minute of play forced Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper Martyon Diehl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlisle Fenwick to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Antal Valentin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Martyon Diehl was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Arty Shearn fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boroondara Milan's protests and gave Arty Shearn a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hungary booed when Boroondara Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arty Shearn didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Martyon Diehl in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. One of Hungary:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Boroondara Milan:s goal. In the 70thth minute of the game Paco Everett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlisle Fenwick in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Andres Stevens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 played minutes Boroondara Milan got a freekick which was hit by Andres Stevens. Major Barna took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martyon Diehl. Martyon Diehl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Martyon Diehl made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Balazs Lajos sent off a good shot on target. The Boroondara Milan support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
