After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucjan Sedzikowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 28 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Al Bundy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Randkleve's Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Shi Xiang Zhi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 35th minute Shi Xiang Zhi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Randkleve's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Lucjan Sedzikowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Xiang Zhi in the 43rd minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Randkleve got a freekick which was hit by Jørgen Eisland. After 49 played minutes Randkleve got a freekick which was hit by Unndór Takeris. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liu Hui Qi in the 53rd minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Al Bundy, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. With a little luck, Randkleve's Lucjan Sedzikowski got control of the ball when Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Al Bundy put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucjan Sedzikowski came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Lucjan Sedzikowski threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Al Bundy in the 81st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucjan Sedzikowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 83rd minute of play. Randkleve's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Wim Wilmes scored to the left of an out of position Lucjan Sedzikowski, making the score, 2-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 91 minutes into the game, when Bas Tuitert put in a rough tackle. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Netherlands! After 94 minutes, Unndór Takeris mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Randkleve and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Randkleve's Unndór Takeris got a free kick in the 94th minute. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shi Xiang Zhi, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. Al Bundy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 101st minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
