The audience thought a goal was coming when Mai Chuan got free with Wilson Amorim in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Orlando Loyola in the 18th minute. After taking down the ball on INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's corner Orlando Loyola fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilson Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mai Chuan in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Ezio Gøl made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 31st minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's João Carlos Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but João Carlos Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Orlando Loyola got a free kick in the 37th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. But to his dismay, Ezio Gøl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 61 minutes into the game, Viriato Moura recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of João Carlos Lucas. Viriato Moura showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Mai Chuan scored 4-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's João Carlos Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute Mai Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's João Carlos Lucas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA from getting a goal against them. Caetano Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but João Carlos Lucas made a huge save. In the 78th minute of the match, Caetano Moreira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Carlos Lucas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Portugal booed when INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Pimentel, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. João Carlos Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 88 minutes into the match, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolomeu Dias came free, but João Carlos Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Graciano Coutinho got a free kick in the 89th minute. After some careless play in the INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA defense, Felipinho Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Carlos Lucas. The INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Carlos Lucas should have stopped the shot. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Head Son, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA were the better team. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
