Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ola Lund in the 19th minute of play. After 25 minutes Garsås IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Barreto who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Portugal's Felipe Barreto to fire away a dangerous shot which Alfons Sjö despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ola Lund in the 27th minute. Ola Lund might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ola Lund ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ola Lund in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ola Lund, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Ola Lund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The Garsås IF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Portugal's performance. The match ended with a win for Portugal.
