If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Piotr Lech narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maciej Bartelak, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Yves Dervaux hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the match was over Belgium could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than The Irons Chorzów throughout the match.
