Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sandro Galishoff took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fabio Auer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tito Bonilla's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Jonas Nalder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urti Caicedo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Austria's zone, Tito Bonilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Auer came out of the goal and Tito Bonilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Austria's Jonas Nalder got a free kick in the 17th minute. A hard shot by Benito Jarquin from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Fabio Auer's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tito Bonilla scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabio Auer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the game, SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC's Valentin Heredia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Auer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Urti Caicedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Schneider in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Austria's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Jarquin came free, but Fabio Auer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Jarquin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Auer having to make a save. In the 33rd match minute, Austria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonhard Maier to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Austria's Fabio Auer got control of the ball when Valentin Heredia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonas Nalder kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Leonhard Maier. If Tito Bonilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentin Heredia made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Pinto in the 52nd minute of play forced Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Schneider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 played minutes SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC got a freekick which was hit by Otoniel Araya. Urti Caicedo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sandro Galishoff. 59 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Pinto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Fabio Auer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd minute Valentin Heredia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Auer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Auer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Jarquin, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After some careless play in the Austria defense, Benito Jarquin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Auer. The Austria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Auer should have stopped the shot. Austria's Fabio Auer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Heredia in the 82nd minute of play. Fabio Auer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Heredia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Auer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Heredia in the 89th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Austria's Jonas Nalder got a free kick in the 91st minute. SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Austria for a fine match.
