Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nino Schurter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the last second Wilson Amorim throw himself and got hold of the ball when Nino Schurter in the 6thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Nino Schurter did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Wilson Amorim 6 minutes into the match. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Rodolfo Miranda hit a great ball. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alain Berset in the 9th minute. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raffaelo Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Portugal's Viriato Moura fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Rogelio Montez sent off a good shot on target. Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 34th minute of play. Gregor Kobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Alberto Giacometti got a throw-in 38 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Rogelio Montez. Gregor Kobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but Gregor Kobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Daniel Pimentel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregor Kobel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rogelio Montez to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raffaelo Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregor Kobel came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Faustino Almeida. But to his dismay, Faustino Almeida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Marco Odermatt replaced Williams Imholz. Espen Steelers's Ştefan Lupea was substituted for Rogelio Montez. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Espen Steelers's Tobie Canclini was substituted for Calistrat Velicu. Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Espen Steelers from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Felipinho Amorim came free, but Gregor Kobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ştefan Lupea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Gregor Kobel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel got control of the ball when Felipinho Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Daniel Pimentel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gregor Kobel. Daniel Pimentel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Portugal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
