Joona Lindberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Toivo Hedberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Przemyslaw Rzegotka in the 6th minute of play. If Przemyslaw Rzegotka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Przemyslaw Rzegotka fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's protests and gave Przemyslaw Rzegotka a yellow card for diving instead. Przemyslaw Rzegotka kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Karhulan Veikot's Rauli Hartikainen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adam Brack made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Cuiavia Bydgoszcz getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jedrzej Pacholewski hit a great ball. Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's Adam Brack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joona Lindberg in the 17th minute of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Karhulan Veikot's goalkeeper Toivo Hedberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Karhulan Veikot's Rauli Hartikainen got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adam Brack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joona Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 32 minutes of play Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's Przemyslaw Rzegotka was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 33rd match minute, Cuiavia Bydgoszcz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Przemyslaw Rzegotka to maneuver through the defense. Adam Brack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joona Lindberg in the 34th minute of play. After 39 minutes, Joona Lindberg made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's Adam Brack tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 43 minutes into the match, Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's goal looked a bit too open when Joona Lindberg came free, but Adam Brack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joona Lindberg made a kick off. Jacek Gollob fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toivo Hedberg having to interfere. Cuiavia Bydgoszcz made a substitution. Jaroslaw Wielowiejski replaced Feliks Kapelski. After 67 minutes, Teuvo Karjalainen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karhulan Veikot and the Cuiavia Bydgoszcz players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 67 played minutes Karhulan Veikot got a freekick which was hit by Teuvo Karjalainen. Toivo Hedberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacek Gollob in the 70th minute of play. Toivo Hedberg came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's Jacek Gollob. But to his dismay, Jacek Gollob quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Joona Lindberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adam Brack. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joona Lindberg ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Karhulan Veikot defense, Jacek Gollob kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toivo Hedberg. The Karhulan Veikot fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toivo Hedberg should have stopped the shot. Jacek Gollob missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 86 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Toivo Hedberg right hand side. Adam Brack made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joona Lindberg in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute, Fabian Pierz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Iso Kalu in the 92nd minute really tested Adam Brack's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Jacek Gollob might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toivo Hedberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacek Gollob ran back to his position shaking his head. The Karhulan Veikot players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
