With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aggelos Fytanidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Dan Caranică had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aggelos Fytanidis. GREEK ARMY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dan Caranică was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Evripidis Papafotoulis's late challenge caught a CSM ALEXANDRIA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evripidis Papafotoulis helped the player get up and apologised. Evripidis Papafotoulis kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikos Lazaridis during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes GREEK ARMY got a freekick which was hit by Nikos Lazaridis. After having played for 30 minutes, Valentin Frumuzache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSM ALEXANDRIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Frumuzache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aggelos Fytanidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CSM ALEXANDRIA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
