Alberto Aznar kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesar Romildo's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kleopas Plouffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kleopas Plouffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The supporters of Defensores de Mar de Ajó booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wim Wilmes didn't get a good kick on the ball.
