Fisica UNT's Conor Gallagher got a free kick in the 14th minute. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Marcelo Cordero sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Italy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernardino Llorenc was slow to take the kick. During this time Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's players had a chance to rest. Marcelo Cordero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. After 25 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Deodato Magliozzi. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Llorenc in the 29th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigfrido Auletta to maneuver through the defense. When Marcelo Cordero came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Cordero couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goal looked a bit too open when Porziano Marchitelli came free, but Dražen Ladić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match Italy got a corner. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sigfrido Auletta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Zaccheo Andolina almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Dražen Ladić did a great save. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Cordero, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goalkeeper Dražen Ladić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dražen Ladić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute Marcelo Cordero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute of the match Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT got a corner. Italy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. A well-hit corner resulted in Cristoforo Cristofari heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Zaccheo Andolina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Zheng Jing Feng made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT had won after a very even match.
