Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zaccheo Andolina started the match with the kick off. Kajetan Dec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 4th minute of play. Kajetan Dec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Zena Busacca made in the 18th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Porziano Marchitelli however managed to control. 24 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Ömer Halisdemir came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zaccheo Andolina might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kajetan Dec. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zaccheo Andolina ran back to his position shaking his head. 26 minutes into the match, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Kajetan Dec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Italy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sixten Gernberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Zawisza Bydgoszcz's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Sixten Gernberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavio Vittori quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Karl-Åke Lindström hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes Zawisza Bydgoszcz got a freekick which was hit by Alphan Altunç. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ömer Halisdemir to make the kick off. Kajetan Dec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 52nd minute of play. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixten Gernberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Italy's zone, Răzvan Brădean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Vittori came out of the goal and Răzvan Brădean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adriano Curtos short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Kajetan Dec to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Italy's attentive Siricio Liotta managed to snatch the ball when Lucjan Bochinski made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Kajetan Dec successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Kajetan Dec, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Many of Italy's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Italy may have spent more time on the ball, but Zawisza Bydgoszcz were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
