Fulgencio Rioja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Rioja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique Arósio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fodor Daniel. Hungary's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Major Barna notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Velez's Fulgencio Rioja. Fulgencio Rioja was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Velez's Fulgencio Rioja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Katona Janos in the 39th minute of play. Fulgencio Rioja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Hegedus Henrik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hungary's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Velez the free kick. Hegedus Henrik kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The Velez players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hungary were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Jedrzej Tomaka made the kick off in the second half. Velez's Fulgencio Rioja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 50th minute of play. After some careless play in the Velez defense, Major Barna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fulgencio Rioja. The Velez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fulgencio Rioja should have stopped the shot. When Venancio Caton fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Velez's protests and gave Venancio Caton a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Velez getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Venancio Caton hit a great ball. Velez's Fulgencio Rioja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Velez from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd match minute, Velez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jony Maidana to maneuver through the defense. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fulgencio Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Major Barna might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fulgencio Rioja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Major Barna ran back to his position shaking his head. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Major Barna notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Velez's Fulgencio Rioja. Fulgencio Rioja was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
