Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sem De Kelper got the match started through his kick off. Lionel Van Den Broek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 2nd minute of the match. Joachim Van Der Meren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lionel Van Den Broek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek. Lionel Van Den Broek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 14 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Rolf Huveneers came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lionel Van Den Broek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Huveneers in the 30th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lionel Van Den Broek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egbert Nijveldt to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp got a free kick in the 41st minute. Sem De Kelper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. After the first half Netherlands were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 51st minute. Lars Meesters was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of Netherlands booed when De Keikoppers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Eijkens didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, De Keikoppers's Boris Boegaert got a free kick in the 58th minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Van Der Meren in the 60th minute of the match. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Rolf Huveneers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rolf Huveneers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After taking down the ball on De Keikoppers's corner Rolf Huveneers fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnout Reekers quite easily take care of the ball. In the 87th minute, Rolf Huveneers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Keikoppers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Huveneers in the 91st minute of play. The Netherlands players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented De Keikoppers from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
