Ádám Újváry scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 22 minutes of play, Puskás Akadémia's Ádám Újváry made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zvezdan Nedeljkovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ede Erős, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sreten Popovic charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sreten Popovic the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes Serbia got a freekick which was hit by Sreten Popovic. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 29th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. 31 minutes into the match, Márton Koós dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic, 4-0. 36 minutes in the game Ákos Zentay did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Adorján Lantos. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ádám Újváry.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sreten Popovic was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, József Lázár had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Serbia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that József Lázár was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márton Koós in the 54th minute of the match. Borjan Golubovic kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Puskás Akadémia's József Lázár sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zvezdan Nedeljkovic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by József Lázár in the 63rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that József Lázár's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was left in no man's land by his defense there! Borjan Golubovic hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, Serbia's goal looked a bit too open when József Lázár came free, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Serbia defense, Ede Erős kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. The Serbia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zvezdan Nedeljkovic should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute, Márton Koós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Puskás Akadémia had played much better football throughout.
