Major Barna hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Cecilio Jax showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Major Barna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cecilio Jax. San Martin de Tucuman's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Major Barna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ivan Copil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Copil got free with Fodor Daniel in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as San Martin de Tucuman's Ivan Copil slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fodor Daniel. That made the score 2-1 after 34 minutes of play. San Martin de Tucuman's Cecilio Jax played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 36th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Major Barna made a precise shot to the right of Cecilio Jax. San Martin de Tucuman's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 53rd minute of the match, Takacs Tibor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cecilio Jax saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ivan Copil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fodor Daniel having to make a save. 54 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Copil came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cecilio Jax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 59th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Bakos Endre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Copil, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute Ivan Copil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Bakos Endre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Paulino Lamberto sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hungary's Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move.
