The referee ignored Switzerland's protests and gave Levi von Herren a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Levi von Herren to maneuver through the defense. Aigyptos Papoutsis kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Samuele Kunz took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Polybos Phocas. Polybos Phocas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Likourgos Manetas got a throw-in 14 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Kanake Papadis. Timos Softhis in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hias Nüssli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 16 played minutes Le Cabaret got a freekick which was hit by Telis Fitrakis. The supporters of Switzerland booed when Le Cabaret was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akheron Manoukarakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuele Kunz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 minutes, Kanake Papadis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Le Cabaret and the Switzerland players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Jacinto Maurer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Polybos Phocas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 minutes of play, Switzerland's Samuele Kunz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Polybos Phocas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samuele Kunz to strike the kick off in the second half. If Samuele Kunz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Kanake Antonopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Switzerland's zone, Timos Softhis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hias Nüssli came out of the goal and Timos Softhis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th match minute, Le Cabaret was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telis Fitrakis to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Kanake Papadis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hias Nüssli was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kanake Papadis in the 95th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
