Cristoforo Tammaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 15th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Fedele Panza came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gustaaf Groeneveldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristoforo Tammaro was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristoforo Tammaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led Lunatics of Arianrhod's Joel Hibai to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnout Reekers despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

In the 51st minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 53rd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Tammaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Martini, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Hibai in the 61st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 86th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Cristoforo Tammaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Lunatics of Arianrhod from getting a goal against them. Enzo Di Placido kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristoforo Tammaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Netherlands's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
