Flavio Vittori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 32 minutes into the game, Zaccheo Andolina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Salvador Ortega was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 39th minute, Fulco Urra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Salvador Ortega. Lautaro L.P.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zaccheo Andolina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After the first half Italy were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andolín Echeandía was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andolín Echeandía in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Vittori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Wang Peng fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lautaro L.P.'s protests and gave Wang Peng a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, Wang Peng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zaccheo Andolina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salvador Ortega having to make a save. Andolín Echeandía fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulco Urra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Lautaro L.P. were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Italy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Qi Jun Xiang took the corner. The corner led Lautaro L.P.'s Gary Medel to fire away a dangerous shot which Flavio Vittori despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Curto in the 91st minute of play forced Lautaro L.P.'s goalkeeper Salvador Ortega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulco Urra in the 94th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Vittori didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andolín Echeandía went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score.
