Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zlatko Ibrahimović got the match started through his kick off. Olaf Geiger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 10th minute of the match. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olaf Geiger having to interfere. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zlatko Ibrahimović, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Olaf Geiger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olaf Geiger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albin Holweck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Olaf Geiger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zlatko Ibrahimović scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Robin Andermatt charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robin Andermatt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Germany booed when Fire Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Andermatt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olaf Geiger came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Germany's Frank Sachs. But to his dismay, Frank Sachs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A hard shot 33 in the game by Zlatko Ibrahimović from a close distance when the talented Tommy Kahn managed to make a qualified save. Germany's players were relieved. Zlatko Ibrahimović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. 41 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Zlatko Ibrahimović came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Adrian Dreifuss fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Adrian Dreifuss a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zlatko Ibrahimović's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fire Devils's zone, Albin Holweck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olaf Geiger came out of the goal and Albin Holweck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Fire Devils defense, Frank Sachs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olaf Geiger. The Fire Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olaf Geiger should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fire Devils's Garson Pfäffli was substituted for Samuel Giger. In the 67th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Mergenthaler to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Fire Devils's Olaf Geiger got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Edmílson Gaúcho sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Edmílson Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fire Devils's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmílson Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Germany's Albin Holweck got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute Edmílson Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Chris Mergenthaler threw the ball into play from the sideline. Fire Devils's Yuri Vilaverde quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 94 minutes, Ismael Kalnik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fire Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Kalnik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmílson Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
