Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Håkan Šuker started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 4th minute of play forced La Cosa Nostra's goalkeeper Sonny Alén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Pedroso made in the 5th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Sonny Alén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 6th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Håkan Šuker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flavio Vittori. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind La Cosa Nostra's goalkeeper Sonny Alén, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on La Cosa Nostra's corner Hans Bergfelt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Flavio Vittori quite easily take care of the ball. In the 29th minute, Siricio Liotta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sonny Alén was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Millrick in the 40th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Italy's Eliseo Cutri managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pedro Pedroso in the 54 minute of the game. Italy's Zaccheo Andolina got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sonny Alén came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Siricio Liotta. But to his dismay, Siricio Liotta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Italy's Gomberto Picozzi got a free kick in the 69th minute. Thanks to Italy's goalie finding himself so far out he could grab the ball Hans Bergfelt tried to make a shot after getting passed the defense. Flavio Vittori seemed to really have strength and confidence after that save. In the 75th minute of the match, Zaccheo Andolina tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sonny Alén saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 76th minute Håkan Šuker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Boran Tekinalp got a throw-in 79 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hans Bergfelt. Sonny Alén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siricio Liotta in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, La Cosa Nostra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Vital to maneuver through the defense. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. After 83 played minutes La Cosa Nostra got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Vital. La Cosa Nostra's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Adriano Curto scored to the left of an out of position Sonny Alén, making the score, 1-3. Eliseo Cutri kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Italy's Adriano Curto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sonny Alén narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to La Cosa Nostra getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Jerónimo Avelar hit a great ball. Italy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
