Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Viriato Moura kicked off to start the match. A hard shot 4 in the game by Håkan Šuker from a close distance when the talented Wilson Amorim managed to make a qualified save. Portugal's players were relieved. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 6 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Moreira. In the 8thth minute of the game Håkan Šuker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th minute La Cosa Nostra were awarded a corner. Hans Bergfelt went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Elias Millrick got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wilson Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sonny Alén having to make a save. 12 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Sonny Alén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Felipe Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sonny Alén breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sonny Alén didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caetano Moreira went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sonny Alén. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. Sonny Alén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sonny Alén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 25th minute of the match. When Portugal's Viriato Moura in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Cosa Nostra's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Viriato Moura put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sonny Alén. In the 30th minute, Ricardo Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Daniel Pimentel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sonny Alén was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Pedro Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Cosa Nostra's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Pedroso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Håkan Šuker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilson Amorim. That made the score 3-2 in the 46 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Håkan Šuker to make the kick off. Ahmet Boran Tekinalp made in the 53rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ricardo Araújo however managed to control. Ricardo Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Faustino Almeida made in the 65th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by La Cosa Nostra's Ricardo Araújo. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. After 67 played minutes La Cosa Nostra got a freekick which was hit by Hans Bergfelt. 71 minutes into the game, Håkan Šuker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sonny Alén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipinho Amorim in the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Šuker in the 75th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, La Cosa Nostra's Håkan Arenius got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Håkan Arenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Maurício Mansilha came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the La Cosa Nostra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Mansilha couldn't finish the play. In the 85th match minute, La Cosa Nostra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Millrick to maneuver through the defense. Maurício Mansilha scored 6-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Maurício Mansilha made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-2. After a rather tough play, La Cosa Nostra's Pedro Pedroso got a free kick in the 96th minute.
