An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Kööp in the 23rd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marko Ööpik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 29th minute of the match. Italy's attentive Zaccheo Andolina managed to snatch the ball when Inocencio Hondo made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game.
