Adrian Chioreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flemming Bendixen, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute, Olav Graversen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrian Chioreanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 50th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flemming Bendixen to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, The Sharks Constanta's Gigi Hurmuzescu got a free kick in the 54th minute.
