Haritz Trespuentes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Deniz Orsel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 47th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Deniz Orsel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the game, Alican Vahdettin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. With a little luck, Orduspor's Deniz Orsel got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deniz Orsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 88th minute of play forced Orduspor's goalkeeper Deniz Orsel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. A collision led to Orduspor getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Indyk in the 95th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
