After a defensive mix-up in NK BRONZIN's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernard Kufner came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jure Pantić in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, NK BRONZIN's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Bernard Kufner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Vojnović in the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Lars Meesters reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bernard Kufner. The goal made the score 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The NK BRONZIN fans cheered their team off the field, for while Netherlands had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
