In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bogumil Pilarczyk. Henrich Slany showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wawrzyniec Franzik, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A collision led to Slovakia getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Zigmund Maliar hit a great ball. Jan Turek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Metod Mlynar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Leszek Tusk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrich Slany. Slovakia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leszek Tusk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Slovakia's attentive Zigmund Maliar managed to snatch the ball when Bogumil Charlos made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game. In the 39thth minute of the game Metod Mlynar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Jan Turek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bogdan Babicki during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, one of GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ. Jan Turek had in the 43rdth minute some difficulties stopping Pavol Koleno's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Metod Mlynar made a kick off. Metod Mlynar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Turek having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's goal looked a bit too open when Metod Mlynar came free, but Jan Turek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leszek Tusk in the 57th minute of the match. GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Jan Turek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ from getting a goal against them. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wawrzyniec Franzik in the 61st minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Wawrzyniec Franzik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Oliver Holub kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Bogumil Charlos hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Ondrej Biskup got a free kick in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leszek Tusk in the 85th minute of play forced Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Zigmund Maliar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
