Denmark's Lars Steen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emiliano Zulli, made in the 12th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michelangelo Menduni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michelangelo Menduni saved Prato Valera from getting behind. Octavio Chico hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Lars Steen got a free kick in the 19th minute. Lucas Orlandus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Alvise Sisti notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Denmark's Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Alvise Sisti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Prato Valera's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvise Sisti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Chris Nygaard came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Nygaard couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Kenn Skou hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Lucas Orlandus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Lucas Orlandus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute of the match Dave Petrini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keld Paulsen skillfully saved the ball. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Prato Valera's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chris Nygaard was slow to take the kick. During this time Denmark's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Chris Nygaard got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Michelangelo Menduni quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Prato Valera getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Octavio Chico hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Olav Graversen got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Alvise Sisti made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Bjarne Kirkegaard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Denmark and the Prato Valera players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjarne Kirkegaard to maneuver through the defense. Alvise Sisti took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 58 minutes into the match, Octavio Chico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Keld Paulsen. Denmark's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octavio Chico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Chris Nygaard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michelangelo Menduni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Theis Winther hit a great ball. In the 70th minute of the match Dave Petrini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keld Paulsen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 72ndth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Prato Valera's Michelangelo Menduni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michelangelo Menduni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Simon Bendtsen got a free kick in the 78th minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Dave Petrini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prato Valera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Petrini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvise Sisti in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 83rd match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Steen to maneuver through the defense. Emiliano Zulli made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Lars Steen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 88th minute of play forced Prato Valera's goalkeeper Michelangelo Menduni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Chris Nygaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Prato Valera had won after a very even match.
